Unit Overview: Students created their own artwork based on the title of a famous museum piece. Students randomly drew a title from a hat and were not shown a picture of the original work. Students analyzed four styles of art, sketched three thumbnail designs of their final artwork design, and experimented with various media and techniques of art to create their final artwork. Students then participated in a critique to compare and contrast their artwork with the museum piece.
